After a fateful mistake costing his career, an ex-soccer player bum meets a shaolin kung fu student trying
to spread the word of kung fu. The ex-soccer player helps reconcile with his five brothers, and teaches them soccer,
adding shaolin kung fu as a twist.

Fung (Ng Man-Tat), un campione di calcio accetta
di vendere la partita in cambio di soldi da parte del compagno di squadra Hung (Patrick Tse Yin). In seguito verrà
aggredito e riporterà dei danni permanenti ad un ginocchio, fatto che metterà la parola fine alla sua carriera di
calciatore. Alcuni anni dopo Fung, licenziato e ridotto al vagabondaggio, incontra uno studente di kung-fu Shaolin, Sing
Gamba d'acciaio (Stephen Chow). Sing è un grande esperto di kung-fu, amareggiato dal fatto che la gente si
disinteressi totalmente alle arti marziali. Per questo cerca di trovare il modo di renderle interessanti per il pubblico
attuale. Dopo diversi tentativi disastrosi, i discorsi tra Fung e Sing fanno nascere nei due l'idea di coniugare kung-fu
e calcio, fondando la squadra del Real Shaolin: così Fung potrà prendersi la rivincita su Hung e Sing avrà una
formidabile pubblicità per il suo amato kung-fu.
